Davangere:  In a tragic incident, three members of a family ended their lives in the city’s Bharath colony on Monday, police said.

Police said that the deceased have been identified as Krishna Naik (35), his wife Suma, and their 6-year-old child Dhruva.

Krishna Naik allegedly hanged himself after feeding poison to his wife and son, according to the police.

Police speculated that Krishna Naik who is a lorry driver may have taken the drastic measure to commit suicide out of depression and heartbreak over his wife Suma’s sickness and the family’s dismal financial situation.
