Haliyal: Haliyal police took a betting bookie involved in IPL cricket betting to custody and seized Rs 99,150 cash and two mobile phones from him.

Based on complaints of cricket betting going on in a rampant manner in Haliyal, the police swung into action and arrested Mohammed Arif Abdul Rasheed Mugad recently and seized around Rs one lakh and two mobile phones from him.

Police registered a case against him and the accused was released on bail.
