Kumta: Agriculture Department will be organising an integrated agriculture campaign in the taluk from June 21.
In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Assistant Director of Agriculture Shankar Hegde said, MLA Dinakar Shetty will inaugurate the campaign vehicle, which will provide information to the public about the programmes being organised by Agriculture and Agriculture related departments.
An interaction programme with farmers and introduction, mission and objectives of the Agriculture Department will be held in the gram panchayat centre in each hobli. Farmers have been asked to take part in the interaction session and find solutions to their problems, he said.
Applications invited
Meanwhile, Hegde said, the department has invited applications from farmers for getting financial assistance of Rs 6,000 from the department under the Krishi Samman Scheme.
Farmers should submit the documents like pahani, Aadhar Card attached bank account number, recent photographs at nearby gram panchayat, Nada Kacheri, Atal Ji Janasneha Kendra, Horticulture Department or Sericulture Department, he added.
