Bhatkal: With the initiative taken by Indian Nawayath Forum to promote and bring awareness about the 'Rain water harvesting' techniques in Bhatkal, two rainwater harvesting projects at Abuzar Masjid and Madrassa in Gulme area, which was started few months back in Bhatkal has been completed. This project was an initiative as part of the larger problem, faced by Bhatkal regularly during summer, resulting in scarcity of clean water from past few years. 

Talking to presspersons in this regard, General Secretary of Indian Nawayath Forum, Maaz Jukaku, said, the first phase of the project was successfully completed in Bhatkal.

"The project is the result of the movement and interest thrown by Mr. Bilal Ahmed Ruknuddin, Convener of Rainwater Harvesting Project, Mr. SM Arshad and Mr. Fayyaz Mohtasham.

Efforts will be made to create more awareness in this regard and to implement similar projects in other areas as well", he said.
