Honnavar: The excise officials have seized the illegal liquor bottles worth of Rs. 1,60,000 from a house in Kasarkod village of Honnavar taluk. The house belonged to Ramesh Janna Tandel.

As per the information received, it was said that the bottles containing different brands of liquor were brought illegally from Goa. The liquor was filled into 180 ml and 750 ml plastic bottles. The department seized the illegal products and also arrested the accused. He was then produced before the court and was taken to judicial custody.

The raid was conducted by an excise department team led by inspector Shubodha under the guidance of assistant commissioner.
