Honnavar: A 19-year old pillion rider was killed on the spot and the bike rider who was seriously injured in an accident between the KSRTC bus and the bike on which they were riding on National Highway-66 near Roshan Mohallah at Kasarkod in Honnavar on Tuesday night was succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Huzaif Ismail Hodekar and Mustameer Shabbir Shirsangi (18) residents of Roshan Mohallah. 

In the accident, one Khasim Bhasha Khare (20), who was standing on the roadside was also injured. The accused bus driver was absconding after the incident and his identity is yet to ascertain, said police.
