Honnavar: In a heart-wrenching incident that happened in Idagunji in Honnavar taluk, a man hanged himself to end the life after murdering her wife, leaving behind their two children orphaned. The incident happened on Friday evening, but came to light on the next day morning.

Sources informed that the man identified as Venkatesh Naik (49) murdered his wife Shaila Naik (35) using sharp weapons, and later hanged himself to death. The couple have two children aged 11 and 9 years old, who are now left orphaned. 

The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.

A case has been registered and police are investigating into it.
