Honnavar: An auto driver from Honnavar displayed honesty by returning a purse he found on the road to its rightful owner.

Auto driver Rajesh Venkatesh Mesta had found the purse of Umme Habiba of Prabhat Nagar on the road. The purse had Rs 18,000 and some important documents. She had lost it while on her way home from the market on Thursday.

Rajesh who found the purse on the road handed over the purse to the police in the station.

The police later traced the owner of the purse and returned it to her. The police appreciated Rajesh for his honesty and alertness.
