Bhatkal: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck at Karki NH 66 in Honnavar taluk. The deceased has been identified as Annappa Vinayak Shet, a resident of Hosad in Honnavar.

The victim was struck on the National Highway at 8:30pm on Thursday evening when he was walking on the road.

The lorry was moving towards Karwar from Kundapur.

A case has been registered in Honnavar police station and further investigations are on.
