Ankola: The body of a young man was found in a suspicious circumstances near the Andle cross on National Highway 66 in Ankola, in which police are investigating as to whether it was an accidental death or a murder.

The deceased is identified as Ravi Sreesh Harikantra, aged 31, a resident of Shirur Gram.

About Ravi, it is learnt that he was an contract based employee at HESCOM. On Tuesday, he went out with his three friends at night and all four had dinner at a hotel, and returned to their homes.

But Ravi's body was found on the roadside in a suspicious condition near Andle cross. His three friends have gone missing since then instead of reaching home. His friends are being contacted over the phone and they are changing their statements on every moment. The disappearance of his friends is emerging as a suspicious of the murder.

Police investigation is underway.
