Mangaluru: Heavy rain lashed across Belthangady taluk on Monday night.

The residents of Charmadi, Mithabagilu, Malavanthige, Didupe and Kukkavu are worried over the rise in water level in Mrithyunjaya stream.

Water has already entered paddy fields and plantations. The water-level in Eluvarehalla and Kooduhalla at Kukkavu had increased drastically on Monday night.
