Bhatkal: In a tragic incident that happened here at Hurlisaal near Kargadde, a six years old girl lost her life after she was electrocuted. The incident happened on 1st July, Monday evening.

The deceased is identified as Khushi d/o Ishwar Naik.

It is reported that Khushi came in contact with electric shock after she stepped into a flow of water on road while zhe was enroute to her tuition classes on Monday evening in Hurlisaal area. It is also claimed that a string of wire having electric power had fallen into the water on which Khushi had stepped on. The impact of shock was such that Khushi lost her life on the spot.

The deceased was a student of Grade-1. 

Police personnel rushed to the spot on receiving the information. The body was then taken to Bhatkal government hospital for post mortem.

A case has been registered in Bhatkal rural police station and further investigations are underway.
