Gokarna: Police arrested seven persons on charges of involving in series of theft cases that took place in Gokarna, Ankola, and Karwar taluks in the last one year. Gold articles worth Rs 19 lakh were recovered from them. 

Informing this to media persons here on Monday, Superintendent of Police Shivaprakash Devaraju said, Prashant Kishor Naik, Harsha Naik, Srikant Devadiga, Nihal Gopalkrishna Devali, Sandeep Marathe, Ganesh Naik, Rahul Bant, and Ashok Ganapati Raikar are the arrested accused. Ashok Raikar used to purchase stolen gold from the accused, he added.

The SP praised the police team for nabbing the accused and announced a prize for the team.
