Gokarna: The bodies of two tourists who had gone missing from Paradise Beach near Gokarna was fished out near Kagal beach on Monday evening.

The deceased were identified as Akshay Bhageendran and Ajeer Khaja Hussain of Kerala.

A team of police led by Kumta CPI Santosh Shetty and Gokarna PSI and Coastal Security Force had been searching for the bodies since two days. On Monday evening, they received information about two bodies floating in the sea near Kagal beach.

The team went to the spot and fished out the bodies with great difficulty.

A group of five tourists from Kerala had come to Gokarna on a tour on May 11. Two among them were washed away while they ventured into the sea for swimming. The bodies were handed over to the family after conducting the postmortem.
