Mangaluru: Former Union minister and veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary on Wednesday said that the Gandhi family should continue to lead the party.

His remarks came in the wake of a letter written by 23 senior Congress leaders asking party president for sweeping changes, from head to toe, in the organistation.

Stating that members of the Gandhi family have led the party forward in the past, Poojary urged that the responsibility of the Congress be borne by the family.
