Ankola: A tanker truck filled with diesel toppled on Hosur NH-66 in the taluk on Wednesday afternoon, causing serious injuries to driver.

The incident happened after the driver lost control over the vehicle, which collided with the divider and toppled. The tanker was heading towards Ankola route from Mangaluru. Due to the incident, the driver who sustained serious injuries was shifted to Ankola government hospital.

As the tanker overturned, a slight leakage in the diesel was detected. To avoid any untoward incident, the fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and managed to control the further leakage of the diesel. 

A case has been registered in Ankola police station.
