Foundation laid for Oxygen plant in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: The foundation stone for the Oxygen Plant building was laid at the premises of Bhatkal Government Hospital on Friday. On the occasion, Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik said that Rs. 7 lakh has been released from the MLA fund for this building of the plant. Meanwhile, Rs 43 lakhs has been sanctioned for the plant in collaboration with Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). Thus, the entire project is worth Rs 50 lakhs, MLA added.

According to Sunil Naik, work on the Oxygen Generator Plant has been started in Bhatkal, which is the second plant after Chikkodi in Karnataka being the first. The work shall complete within a month, MLA said.

On this occasion, Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Mamata Devi, Bhatkal Government Hospital In-Charge Dr. Savita Kamath and others were present.
