Karwar: Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation (KFDC) President Rajendra Naik was behind the suspension of Non-Offical Director of KFDC Mohan Bolashettikar; who was suspended within month of his appointment, fishermen leaders claimed on 24th July, Monday.
Picketing KFDC President, who visited the city, fishermen leaders asked him questions regarding suspension of Mohan Bolashettikar and charged him for the action.
KFDC is mainly serving for the development of fishermen and fish industry. The government appointed Mohan Boleshettikar as non-official director of KFDC, who served 40 years in fishery and was also President of Persian Boat Owners Taluk Unit.
However, now he has been suspended from the post, Leader Raju Tandel expressed outrage. Suspended non-offical Director Mohan Boleshettikar was present. “The government will not seek permission of me (President) to suspend anyone from coporation. I do not have any idea about the suspension of Mohan. I dont have any conspiracy behind this. I will investigate the case,” Rajendra Naik replied.
“Basically political parties will direct honest workers for the posts of President and Director of corporations. However, Mohan Bolashettikar has not issued any primary membership of Congress. This may be the reason for his suspension,” Block Congress Taluk Unit President Deepak Vainganakar opined.
