Bhatkal: A major fire engulfed one of the trucks that had a head-on collision with another truck here on Murdeshwar NH-66 in the taluk on Thursday night.

An eyewitness informed SahilOnline that the fire erupted soon after both trucks collided with each other.

Sources informed that one of the truck driver, Noor Muhammad, sustained burn injuries and has been rushed to RNS hospital Murdeshwar and is reported to be out of danger. Two more persons, who received minor injuries have been rushed to the same hospital, whose identities are yet to be ascertained.

On receiving the information, fire extinguishers from Bhatkal rushed to the spot. Further details are awaited.
