Kumta: First Division Assistant (FDA) Suresh Mariyappa Vakkund was caught red-handed by Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) while receiving a bribe of Rs 2,000 for a land mutation at the Tahsildar’s office.

Girish Suresh Bhandari of Devarahakkal in Kumta had submitted an application at the Tahsildar’s office on October 27, 2018 for transferring the property of his grandmother who had died to his father’s name. Suresh Vakkund of the Bhoomi Kendra at the office had demanded Rs 2,000 for land mutation. But was caught while receiving bribe of Rs 2,000, said ACB DySP Girish.
