Bhatkal: Eid Al Adha, also called as "Festival of the sacrifice" will be celebrated on Friday, 31st July in Bhatkal and surrounding regions. In this regard, the Bhatkal Eidgah Management Committee has stated that the Eid Al Adha prayers will be offered in Mosques this year, and has released prayer timings scheduled at various Mosques for the convenience of Muslim brethren.
• Jamia Masjid, Khaleefa Jamia Masjid, Tanzeem Juma Masjid, Makhdumia Juma Masjid, and Bilal Juma Masjid - 7:00 AM
• Madeena Masjid, Noor Masjid, Abubakar Masjid, Hamza Masjid, Badriya Masjid, Ahmed Saeed Masjid, and Imam Bukhari Masjid - 7:15 AM.
Sadiq Asarmatta, secretary of Bhatkal Eidgah Management Committee, said in a press release that the Government and the Health Department have taken stringent measures in wake of Coronavirus pandemic, hence maintaining social distancing and use of masks will be mandatory.
The festival of Eid Al Adha or the 'Festival of the Sacrifice' is a commemoration of Ibrahim’s absolute dedication to Allah. Also known as 'Bakr Eid' or 'Bakrid' in India, it is observed on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar.
