Bhatkal: Mr. Abdul Latif, a student of Shams high school of Bhatkal has been selected for state-level Chess competition after bagging first place in district level.

In an Uttar-Kannada district athletic sports held at Government high school here at Belke on 18th September, Monday, Abdul Latif participated in Chess competition, where he bagged first place and eventually got selected for state level competition.

On his achievement, the school administration secretary Talha Siddibappa, Principal Fahmida Mulla, Professor M R Manvi, Physical education teacher Mahesh Naik amongst many others congratulated him and wished him all the best for the upcoming event.
