Yellapur: “Many people fear that they would be losing their traditional jobs due to the onslaught of technology. But adapting to the changing system is inevitable,” said NWKRTC Chairman and MLA Shivaram Hebbar.
Speaking after inaugurating a digital library and a workshop on online digital library resources for teaching and learning at the Government First Grade College in Yellapur recently, he said that the present generation students had wide scope for learning due to technology. They have a number of teaching aids to understand concepts in a better way. Students must use those resources to find newer job avenues. Also, they must gather information on the career opportunities available before choosing any course, he added.
Journalist Nagraj Magduni, was the guest. Principal Dakshayini Hegde presided over the programme. Prof Shivanand Bulla of Dr A V Baliga College of Commerce, Kumta gave lecture on a digital library.
