Tue, 08 Sep 2020 11:26:33    DHNS

Karwar:  District Hospital’s technician Harshita Lakshman Jadhav submitted a memorandum to Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Md Roshan in the city on Monday, seeking protection saying that some of the doctors of the district hospital are pressurising her to
admit that she had given anaesthesia to the lactating woman who breathed her last during surgery at the hospital.

Md Roshan is heading the committee which is investigating the death case of lactating women.

Harshita said, she is working as a technician in the district hospital from 2015 under outsource system.

She has no complete information about administering anaesthesia and so far, for all the surgeries, the expert doctors had administered it to the patients. However, in the death case of a lactating woman, some doctors are forcing her to admit that she had given anaesthesia to the deceased woman prior to tubectomy and hence, she has a threat to her life.

Roshan said, he will conduct a fair and transparent enquiry in the matter by looking at all the facts.
