Mangaluru: The Indian coast guard ship 'Vikram' from Karnataka has rescued three fishermen of Kannur who were caught in the rough sea in the early hours of Saturday.

The fishing boat had developed engine failure in the face of impending inclement and cyclonic storm “Tauktae”. The rescue operations were undertaken from midnight Friday.

The three fishermen were provided with food and are in healthy condition.
