Mundgod: Large-scale crop damage has been recorded in Mundgod taluk which has been witnessing heavy rain for the last two days. Standing paddy crop grown in hundreds of acres and maize stacks kept for sun-drying became damp causing huge loss to farmers.

The water inflow to Bedthi stream near Shidlagundi increased considerably and so, the Yellapur-Mundgod road remained submerged disconnecting the towns for the second consecutive day. This apart, the rain disturbed the movement on Katur-Moodsali, Chigalli-Moodsali and Kyasankeri-Chvadalli roads.
