Bhatkal: A group of fishermen on Wednesday found a huge crocodile that got trapped in a fishing net that was spread here at Arabian sea in Alvekodi in Bhatkal on Wednesday. 

The fishermen who saw the big reptile caught in the net, immediately informed to the forest officials, who later arrived and released the crocodile to the safer place.

It is said, crocodile may have come to the sea from the Venktapur river, owing to the high tides in the Arabian sea due to heavy rains.
