Bhatkal: In view of the economic hardship faced by the people due to the Corona Lockdown, Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem has announced a two-month rent waiver for all rented shops in its buildings.
Maulvi Abdur Raqeeb MJ Nadvi, General Secretary of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem, said that like last year, this year too, the people have been struggling with the Corona Lockdown for two months. Even in Bhatkal, the business is completely closed, due to which people are facing financial difficulties. Abdul Raqeeb also said that in Bhatkal there is always a bustle of people in the textile and readymade garment shops during one month of Ramadan, where the whole year's expenses of shopkeepers get covered.
But like last year, COVID lockdown came in Ramadan and since then the shops have been closed. In view of the situation, Tanzeem has decided to waive the rent of its shops for two months (May and June), he said.
Abdur Raqeeb also requested the other shop owners and property owners of Bhatkal to waive the rent of the shops for two months in view of the present situation.
