COVID-19: Except one, all the remaining 183 passengers who arrived Bhatkal on chartered flight sent home after testing negative

Bhatkal: Of the 184 people who arrived Bhatkal from Dubai on a chartered flight, 183 people have been sent for home quarantine for next seven days after receiving their reports as negative for COVID-19, while one woman was tested positive and have been shifted to KIMS hospital in Karwar.

Their reports were being received since last two to three days. On Friday and Saturday, after the reports of the quarantined people were recieved as negative, they were sent home. Today, following the reports of all the remaining people that came as negative, all were sent home. Thus, all those who reached Bhatkal on a chartered flight from Dubai have left the institutional quarantine center. It is to be noted that at the Anjuman quarantine center, around 41 people were allowed to go home on Sunday.

It is learned that two people who came from Dubai couple of days before, are quarantined in a hotel, while two more people from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) are about to reach Bhatkal tonight, they too will be quarantined in the same hotel.

It may be recalled that four Maharashtra returnees and one person from UP, whose reports came positive today, have been sent to Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).
