Mangaluru/Udupi: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts reported five and 21 new cases of the novel coronavirus, respectively, on Sunday.
The five cases reported in Dakshina Kannada includes three Saudi returnees, one Maharashtra returnee and a 12-year-old boy who happens to be in the contact of a patient. All of them have been admitted to the designated district hospital, health officials said.
As reported earlier a 26-year-old youth, who had returned from Maharashtra recently died at a private hospital in Dakshina Kannada, taking the district death toll to 8.
