Karwar: Deputy Commissioner K Harishkumar directed the officers concerned to complete all the works approved under Natural Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) before May 30 and submit a report.

Speaking at a meeting organised in Karwar on Thursday to review the progress of various development work taken up under the Natural Disaster Relief Funds, the DC said that the officers must give priority towards completing all the works and submit a physical and financial implementation report.

He said that the estimation list of the works which have not been approved must be submitted within a week so that necessary approvals are given.

He asked the officers to focus on works related to drinking water supply taken up in areas facing drinking water problem in summer.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Nagraj Singrer, PWD executive engineer Vasudevan, District Nirmithi Kendra Manager Harsha, Panchayatraj Engineering Karwar Division executive engineer M V Hegde, Sirsi division executive engineer A V Teggi, Rural Drinking Water & Sanitation Department executive engineer Kiran and others were present.
