Coastal Security Police rescue stranded boat, 9 persons from Arabian sea in Ankola

Ankola: The Coastal Security Police rescued a boat and nine persons who were travelling in it, when they got stranded in the Arabian sea in Ankola on Thursday evening.

According to sources, a boat named 'Sai Kalash' was departing from Mumbai to Mangaluru, with nine people aboard after it got stranded in the middle of the sea due to heavy rains and strong winds. On receiving the information about the boat getting trapped in the sea, Belkeri Coastal Security Police personnel immediately took security measures and rushed to rescue them, and were successful in bringing them to the Belkeri port.

It is said that the boat will be anchored at the port for three more days and will let to continue its journey to Mangaluru after the winds stop in the sea.
