Karnataka Government has decided to continue lockdown in eight districts of the State, even as a decision on lifting it in remaining 23 districts will be taken by the Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa after a meeting in the evening.
In the meeting, the CM will review the situation with District Incharge Ministers, Technical Advisory Committee Meeting members, and concerned officers.

Karnataka Muzrai Minister Kota Sreenivasa Poojary has instructed the Hindu Religious Institutions And Charitable Endowments Department not to allocate its "tasdik" grants to non-Hindu religious institutions. Heavy rains are likely to lash the coastal districts of Karnataka for one week starting from Thursday, the Indian meteorological department (IMD) said.
A yellow alert has been sounded for Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on Thursday and Friday.
