Thirty people have died in a landslide near a village in coastal Raigad district of Maharashtra, police said on Friday.
The toll in the incident near Talai village in Mahad tehsil is likely to rise, police said, as many areas of Maharashtra continued to face rain fury since the past few days.

Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar on Thursday said all teaching and non-teaching staff of the government, aided and unaided schools will be vaccinated on a priority basis as a safety measure.
In a statement, Sudhakar said schools will have to reopen sooner or later as children cannot depend on online classes forever.

More than 2.75 crore balance and unutilized COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states, UTs and private hospitals to be administered, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.
Over 43.87 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states and UTs so far through all sources and a further 71,40,000 doses are in the pipeline, it said.
