Kumta: Chief Minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy will be visiting Kumta on 18th April, Thursday to address Congress-JDS election campaign here at Manaki ground in the town, stated Ex MLA of Kumta Sharada Shetty.
Addressing the press release here at Kumta Block Congress office, she said that Kumaraswamy will be campaigning for Uttara Kannada district constituency Congress-JDS coalition candidate Anand Asnotikar, where both Congress-JDS party leaders and workers from across the coastal region of the constituency will be present in the gathering. The waves in favor of Anand Asnotikar is in raise in the taluk after the full fledged campaigning are underway.
Further speaking, JDS leader Suraj Naik Soni, lashed over the Union Minister and BJP candidate Anantkumar Hegde over his act of politics over making use of religious matters in gaining votes. He said, Anantkumar Hegde should give accounts of where the crores of rupees funds have been used for developments in the district. "Even after being a skill development Minister, he failed to fix the unemployment problem faced by thousands of youth in the constituency", he targeted.
District JDS youth president Bhaskar Patgar, speaking on the occasion, said that the waves in favor of coalition candidate have increased in the district due to zero developmental works from Anantkumar Hegde.
Kumta block Congress president V L Naik asked the party members to work hard for the victory of Congress-JDS coalition candidate Anand Asnotikar.
"The situation has come where Anantkumar Hegde has to be defeated for his negligence over responding towards problems faced by the people", said Congress Sewadal district president R H Naik.
In the press meet, State JDS general secretary Gaju Naik Alvekodi, JDS taluka president Manjunath Patgar, PLD bank president Bhuvan Bhagwat, former TMC president Madhusudan Shet and many others were present.
