Karwar (ENS): A clerk of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) who found Rs 10,000 at an SBI ATM near the main gate of Kaiga nuclear plant in Karwar taluk, handed over the money to the bank's branch manager.

The bank returned the money to whom it belonged to on Tuesday. According to sources, Uday Raj who works as CISF clerk went to the ATM at Kaiga main gate to withdraw money.

He noticed 20 notes of Rs 500 denomination and contacted SBI branch manager N Dixit. The manager checked on the withdrawal history and found out that the money belonged to NPCIL employee Gajanan R Naik.

After a thorought verification and proper identification, the Rs 10,000 was handed over to Naik Uday Raj and head clerk Deepak Lolayekar who was also involved in returning the money have been rewarded with cash.
