Riyadh: Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, launched on Wednesday “Salamah” electronic service of the Civil Defense General Directorate at his office in Riyadh.

This service enables owners of firms to get their Civil Defense safety licenses issued online without personally approaching the Civil Defense offices. The function was held on the World Civil Defense Day.

Speaking on the occasion, Crown Prince emphasized that the safety of citizens and expatriates as well as visitors to the Kingdom is among the top priorities of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

“The safety and comfort of all people is a strategic goal of the Ministry of Interior,” he said while urging the citizens to extend support to the Civil Defense forces in carrying out their missions. He also lauded the Civil Defense forces for their sincere work in ensuring the safety of the people and properties.

Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Amr, director general of the Civil Defense, said that the directorate has completed all the preparations to make available of the online service. In the first phase, online issuance of safety certificates will be implemented in the provinces of Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
