Bhatkal: A 23-Year-Old youth, hailing from Chikkamagaluru, committed suicide by hanging himself here at Shedkuli Honda region in Jaali gram limits in the taluk on Saturday.

The deceased is identified as Shivraj. 

Sources informed that Shivraj and his younger brother had settled in Bhatkal two years ago and were working as Coolie. His brother had left for Chikkamagaluru three days back. The cause for committing suicide is yet to be ascertained.

As the information was received, Bhatkal police rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation. The relatives were informed about the incident. The body is kept at Bhatkal government hospital.
