Ankola: Two persons were killed on the spot, while two others sustained severe injuries after the car in which they were traveling had a ghastly collision with a truck on Hebbula NH-63 in the taluk on Saturday morning, 5th October.

The deceased are identified as Chandramauli (55), and Raghavendra (25), both residents of Karwar.

Sources informed that the mishap happened when the car was heading towards Karwar from Bengaluru, while the truck was in the opposite direction. The impact of collision was such that the front portion of the car was damaged completely. 

The injured were rushed immediately to Ankola government hospital.

As the information was received, Ankola police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigation.

A case has been registered in Ankola police station in this regard.
