Byndoor: A traditional boat capsized while fishing at Madi near Gangolli Lighthouse on Saturday.

All the seven fishermen on board were rescued. However, fishing nets and the engine were washed away.

The boat, ‘Sri Ashtadevathe’ owned by Bharath Kharvi, had left for boating with seven fishermen in the morning.

The boat capsized after being hit by a huge wave.

Fishermen from other boats rescued the fishermen. The boat also had suffered extensive damages.
