Gokarna: A bus conductor honestly returned a bag containing valuables to the owners who had forgotten it in Karwar-Kumta bus recently.

Priyanka Nagesh Padthi and her mother of Hiregutti were travelling in Karwar-Kumta bus.

However, while getting down at Hiregutti bus stand, they left their bag containing Rs 20,000 cash, mobile phone and an ATM card in the bus itself.

After some time, they realised that the bag was in the bus itself.

Immediately, they sought the help of Mahesh Gaonkar, a localite, and in his car traced the bus at Kumta bus stand. Bus conductor Keshav Patgar who was on duty in the bus learnt about the incident and honestly returned the bag to the owners.

The conductor drew appreciation of the villagers and other citizens for the honesty.
