Udupi: A 15-year-old boy was electrocuted in Laxmi Nagara, Malpe, here on Saturday.

The victim was identified as Gautham, a student of tenth standard at Milagres Kannada Medium School, Kallianpura. Gautham got electrocuted when he was attempting to lift a pumpset from the well of his neighbour’s house.

Gautham had written and had passed his SSLC examinations recently. He was the only child to his parents. A case was registered in Malpe police station.
