Kumta: A motorist was killed on the spot after the bike in which he was riding met with an head-on collision with the tipper lorry on NH66 in the outskirts of the town. The mishap happened on Wednesday, 6th February.

The deceased is identified as Mohan Nagappa Kharvi (40), a resident of Byndoor in Udupi district.

Police informed that the incident happened when the bike was heading towards Ankola from Kumta, while the tipper was in the opposite direction. 

The impact of collision was such that the bike was seen spit into two pieces and the helmet too went broken.

A case has been registered in Kumta police station.
