Kumta: Biker was killed on the spot after witnessing a collision with a gas tanker here on APMC NH-66 in the town on Saturday.

The deceased is identified as Nagesh Hosabayya Naik, aged 65, a resident of New Herwatta in Kumta.

Mishap happened when the bike was heading towards Kumta town from Alvekodi, while the tanker was in the opposite direction. The deceased was contractor by profession.

A case has been registered in Kumta police station.
