Bhatkal: An auspicious Eid-Milan programme was organized by Bhatkali Jamaat Ul Muslimeen Mangaluru on 15th July, Saturday at Prestige School auditorium here at Mangaluru. Mangaluru’s MLA Mohiddin Bava along with representatives of various Bhatkal associations participated in the programme and admired the work done by Jamaat in organizing the programme.
Many gifts were distributed through Raffle draw to the members and among them the mega bumper prize ‘Honda Activa’ was won by wife of a young lawyer from Bhatkal, Advocate Sameer Kashimji.
During the programme, prizes were given to Bhatkali students, who are performing well in Mangaluru. A short documentary was presented admiring late social and educational worker Abdul Gani Mohtesham, with motive of inspiring the young generation.
Chief Guest Mohiuddin Bava said, “In whichever city or country they go, the people of Bhatkal gather together as a Jamaat and meet once a year by organizing Eid Milan.” He also requested the people present to pray for the peace regarding the ongoing situation in Bantwal.
General secretary of Moulana Abul Hassan Ali Nadvi Islamic Academy, Maulana Ilyaz Jakti Nadvi presented his views and praised the work done by Jamaat and services provided by them in Mangaluru and also admired the services of late Janaab Abdul Gani Saheb.
The programme began with the recitation of versus by Abdur Rahman s/o Moulvi Salim Khalifa following which it was explained in English by Muhammed Ibrahim Bhalli. The programme was compered in English, Urdu and Kannada by the host Sahil Zaheer.
Convenor of the programme Mohammed Aftab Hussain Kola addressed the guests, while vote of thanks was given by general secretary of Jamaatul Muslimeen Bhatkal Moulana Talha Akrami.
Anjuman General secretary Ismail Siddique, Jamaat president S M Arshad, Vice president of Jamaat Ul Muslimeen Mangaluru Ansar Musba, Ex President of Jamaat Abdur Rahman Jaan and General secretary of Bhatkali Jamaat ul Muslimeen Mangaluru Imtiyaz Damda were present on the dias.
