Bhatkal: A two-days ‘Citizenship Training Camp’ was inaugurated for the students of Anjuman B.Ed college on Sunday, 25th August in the college campus, which requires the students to visit rural places and learn about the basic problems, lifestyle and other routine of the people there.
Chief Guest of the Program, Bhatkal DySP Valentine D'souza in his address spoke on - how we can remove fear and asked in future when we become a teacher, remove fear from students, by quoting an example of CCD chairman Siddharth and many other students suicides on very simple things, making pressure on minds and ending the precious life. He asked to be confident and have courage. Secondly, he enlightened on to search talents in students and help them to gain their goals. Thirdly, as a teacher, who gives information to students , while passing them a right information as you are one and students are many. And finally he then gave the example of former president of India Late APJ Abdul Kalam saying that on behalf of his duties, he was identified as President of India.
Guest of Honour, Abdur Rahman Siddiqui spoke about the responsibility of the students as a future of a country, as there are number of opportunities in the modern world. Every day as new, learn something as new challenges day by day. Learn to be creative day by day, he added. To develop self confidence, leadership qualities, to develop them a good teachers these camps are organised, he noted.
On this occassion, Bhatkal DySP Valentine D'souza was felicitated.
Later, in the afternoon, Art and Craft Workshop session was held which was undertaken Mr. Mohammed Sadique, Drawing teacher, Islamia Anglo Urdu High School, Bhatkal.
The program began with the recitation of versus from holy Quran by Fathima Mehnaaz, followed with the translation in Urdu by Mariam Huda, Raheema Banu in English and Naseema in Kannada, Naat was sung by Tanzila. Shrimati and Chaitra sung the welcome song, while Welcome speech was delivered by Mussarat Taj.
Aseema Faizan and Jayshree Shiralikar introduced the guests and Vote of thanks was delivered by Saba Shaikh. The event was compered by Saba Shaikh and Sunil Kumar.
Principal Dr. Zakiya Zarzari spoke about the importance of organising the camp.
The event was presided by Abdur Raheem Jukaku, president of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen.
On this occasion, Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen General Secrartry Ismail Siddique, Additional secretary Ishaque Shabandari, College Secretary Aftab Qamri, College staffs and others were present.
