Bhatkal: The sociopolitical and the most influential Muslim organization of Bhatkal, Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem Friday condemned the derogatory comments made by suspended Bharatiya Janata Party MLA T Raja Singh about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Tanzeem said Singh’s remarks were obscene, uncultured and hurtful.
Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi, general secretary of Majlis Islah Wa Tanzeem, issuing a press release, said, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was dearer to all Muslims than their existence and their children. Derogatory words about him are unbearable for Muslims but unfortunately, communal leaders have started speaking against the Prophet to hurt the sentiments of the Muslims, wherein a recent example of this is the absurd and indecent statement of Hyderabad's BJP MLA T Raja Singh. The government should take steps to stop such incidents and make an effective law in this regard and implement the existing law with full force. "People's feelings are associated with their religious figures, it is important to take this factor into consideration", he added.
Abdul Raqeeb also appealed to Muslims to show patience. He urged the leaders of Muslim organizations, and management of Madrasas and Mosques to invite the non-Muslim brothers of their neighbourhood and try to present the real and true life of the Holy Prophet before them and try to clear the misunderstandings within.
