Bhatkal: The taluk-level Dasara sports meet will be held on September 16 from 9:00 am onwards at Shirali Tattihakkal stadium in the town. 

MLA Sunil Naik will inaugurate the sports meet. 

In the individual games, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 5000-metre running (3,000 metres running only for girls) competitions will be held for both men and women in separately. Along with that high jump, long jump, shot put, disk throw, triple jump, javelin throw, 100 and 110-metre hurdles, and relay competitions will be organised.

In group events, volleyball, kho-kho, football (only for men) will be conducted.
