Bhatkal: Mr. SM Syed Mohiuddin Market, who was holding the post of Vice President of Bhatkal's Khalifa Jamaat has now been elected for the top post of the Jamaat. He was unanimously elected to the president's post at a meeting held at the Jamaat office on Monday. 

It may be recalled that the President of Khalifa Jamaatul Muslimeen, Mr. Siddique Muhammad Meeran had passed away last month, after which the post went vacant and Mr. SM Syed Mohiuddin Market was elected for this post in the meeting held on Monday, June 21.

Mr. Syed Mohiuddin is an active member of the Jamaat since long. He is also a member of shura at Jamia Islamia Bhatkal.  He is also known for being a Patron of the Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem and is a board member at prestigious educational organization of Uttara Kannada district, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal. He is currently serving as the president of Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat, Chennai.

In the meeting, former General Secretary of Jamaat, Mr. Saada Muhammad Meeran has been appointed as the Patron of Khalifa Jamaatul Muslimeen, Bhatkal. Saada Muhammad Meeran had played a significant role in the stability and development of the Jamaat through his quiet nature and abilities.
