Bhatkal: Crowds flocked to the market this week following more relaxation were offered in the ongoing COVID lockdown.

On Monday, in Bhatkal, from 8 AM to 2 AM, motorbikes and cars, as well as pedestrians, came out of the homes in large numbers, bringing the market back to normal. There was much congestion on roads causing traffic disruption in some places for a while. In addition to essential commodities' shops, a good number of customers were seen shopping at raincoats, slippers and umbrellas outlets. 

At 2 PM, when the police car started alerting by alarming the siren, the market again wore a deserted look.
